About Me

Born in the ancient land of the Galilee and growing up surrounded by stories of war, separation and the demonization of the other, Raphael Rodan aims as a teacher, workshop leader and performer to use the power of stories for the opposite, namely to bring people together in the search for our shared humanity. As the co-director of "Healing Words"’, an international storytelling-for-peace School located in the Galilee in Israel, his connections to the holy land are still ensured, but he is working beyond national borders. Currently he lives in the UK. He works and performs in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

“My artistic quest leads into the shadow of our inner self.
In my performances I bring awareness to our inner beast - the one that rises from our depths in situations of conflict and leads us into a field of separation, hatred and war.
As a teacher I use the power of storytelling to create a bridge between diversities and overcome conflicts.”
